What CARZOO collects, why we collect it, who can see it and how long we keep it.

Data we collect
Account data: name, email, phone number, preferred language and role. Listing data: vehicle details, photos and pricing. Usage data: pages viewed, searches, saved cars and device or browser information. Verification data for showrooms: identity, licence, premises and tax documents.
Why we use it
To run the marketplace, show relevant cars, connect buyers with sellers, verify dealerships, prevent fraud and abuse, send service notifications and improve the product.
Who can see your details
Your phone number and other contact details are only revealed to signed-in users who request contact on a listing, and each reveal is logged. Verification documents are visible only to authorised CARZOO reviewers.
Sharing
We share data with infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email and messaging delivery) that process it on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Account and listing data is kept while your account is active. Verification documents are retained for the period required for compliance and then deleted. Audit and security logs are retained under our retention policies.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your account data from your account settings, or by writing to info@carzoo.app. Deleting your account removes your listings and personal data, subject to legal record-keeping.
Security
Access is role-based, sensitive tables are protected by row-level security, and staff actions on your account are recorded in an audit log.
